SEO Meta Forge Privacy Policy

SEO Meta Forge is a Chrome extension for generating, previewing, analyzing, copying, and exporting SEO meta tags, Open Graph tags, and Twitter Card tags. This policy explains what the extension does with data.

Data the extension handles

SEO Meta Forge can handle the following data only for its stated SEO metadata workflow:

• Text that you enter into the extension, such as page titles, meta descriptions, keywords, URLs, and robots directives.
• Metadata from the active browser tab when you choose Scan tab or Analyze tab, including the page title, description meta tag, canonical URL, Open Graph tags, Twitter Card tags, robots tag, viewport tag, and the current page URL.
• Saved meta tag sets and extension preferences, including theme selection and history entries.

How data is used

The extension uses this data to generate meta tag code, display previews, calculate SEO checks, import metadata from the active tab, analyze pasted HTML, save local history, and export user-requested files.

Local storage only

SEO Meta Forge stores draft fields, preferences, and saved history locally in the browser. The extension does not operate a server, does not create an account, and does not send your entered data, browsing activity, page content, or metadata to the developer or to third parties.

Sharing and sale of data

SEO Meta Forge does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data. The extension does not use data for advertising, creditworthiness, profiling, or unrelated analytics.

Chrome permissions

The extension requests activeTab and scripting permissions. These permissions are used only when you click a scan or analyze button so the extension can read SEO metadata from the active tab. The extension does not continuously monitor browsing activity.

Google APIs and Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention and deletion

Saved history remains in your browser until you delete individual history entries, clear the extension history, clear browser extension storage, or uninstall the extension.

Children's privacy

SEO Meta Forge is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the extension's data handling changes, this policy should be updated before publishing the changed version.
