Repurpose Engine Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026
Repurpose Engine is an offline Chrome extension that helps you transform source text into platform-ready drafts. The extension is designed to keep your content private on your device.
Information the extension processes
The extension processes the text you paste into the popup, your selected tone, selected platforms, generated outputs, saved drafts, theme preference, and recent session history. This information is used only to provide the extension's drafting, export, copy, autosave, and history features.
Information collected by the developer
The developer does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or share personal information through Repurpose Engine. The extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, remote logging, or third-party telemetry.
Local storage
Drafts, generated sessions, and preferences are stored locally through Chrome extension storage. They remain in your browser profile unless you clear them in the extension, remove the extension, clear browser data, or Chrome sync behavior configured by your browser transfers extension data between your own signed-in Chrome profiles.
Network activity
Repurpose Engine does not transmit your pasted content or generated drafts to external servers. All text adaptation runs locally in the extension.
Permissions
- storage: saves drafts, preferences, and recent sessions locally.
- downloads: lets you export generated text files from the extension.
Data deletion
You can delete recent sessions from inside the extension using Clear History, clear the active workspace using Clear, or remove all extension data by uninstalling Repurpose Engine from Chrome.
Children's privacy
Repurpose Engine is a productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. The extension does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, this privacy policy will be updated before the new version is published.
