JustTheRecipe Privacy Policy

JustTheRecipe is designed to process recipe pages locally in your browser. The extension does not collect, store, sell, transmit, or share personal information.
Information We Collect
JustTheRecipe does not collect personal information, browsing history, page content, account information, location data, financial information, health information, authentication information, or user activity data.
How the Extension Works
When you click the extension on an active browser tab, JustTheRecipe reads recipe-related content from that page locally in your browser so it can display a clean recipe overlay. This processing happens on your device. Recipe content is not sent to a remote server.
Permissions
JustTheRecipe uses the following Chrome extension permissions:
- activeTab: Allows the extension to access the current tab only after you interact with the extension.
- scripting: Allows the extension to insert the recipe reader script and styling into the current tab after you click the extension.
Data Sharing
JustTheRecipe does not share data with third parties. It does not use analytics services, advertising networks, remote APIs, or third-party processors.
Data Retention
JustTheRecipe does not retain user data. Any recipe content shown by the extension exists only in the current browser tab while the clean recipe view is open.
Children's Privacy
JustTheRecipe does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes should be reflected in the Chrome Web Store listing and any hosted copy of this page.
