Hook Factory is a Chrome extension for generating, saving, rating, importing, and exporting content hook ideas. The extension is designed to work locally in the browser and does not require an account.
Hook Factory does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information. The extension does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, tracking pixels, remote databases, or external APIs.
The extension stores the following data locally in Chrome storage on your device:
This data stays in your browser profile unless you export it or Chrome sync behavior is enabled by your browser settings.
Hook Factory requests the Chrome storage permission so it can save your hooks, swipe file entries, ratings, and preferences locally. It does not request host permissions and does not read or modify web pages you visit.
If you export data, Hook Factory creates local JSON and Markdown files at your request. If you import data, the selected JSON file is read in your browser and merged with your local Hook Factory data. Imported files are not uploaded anywhere by the extension.
Hook Factory does not send data to third-party services. It does not include third-party analytics, ads, or tracking scripts.
Hook Factory is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
You can clear Hook Factory data from inside the extension using the reset button, or by removing the extension from Chrome. You may also manage extension storage through Chrome's browser settings.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be included with the extension and the effective date will be revised.
