HabitMap is a Chrome extension for tracking habits and streaks. The extension is designed to keep your habit data on your device.
HabitMap stores the habit names you create, selected habit colors, completion dates, theme preference, and sort preference. This information is stored locally by Chrome using the extension storage API.
HabitMap does not collect, sell, rent, transmit, or share personal information. HabitMap does not use analytics, advertising networks, remote tracking scripts, or externally hosted code. HabitMap does not read the web pages you visit.
You can export a JSON backup from the extension. That file is created only when you choose the export option. You can also import a HabitMap JSON backup that you select from your device.
HabitMap requests the Chrome storage permission so it can save your habits and preferences locally in the browser. No host permissions are requested.
You can delete individual habits or clear all HabitMap data from inside the extension. Removing the extension from Chrome also removes its extension storage according to Chrome's extension storage behavior.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
