Focus Pulse Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 31, 2026
Focus Pulse is a private Pomodoro timer for Chrome. The extension is designed to work locally on your device and does not operate a remote service, user account system, analytics endpoint, advertising network, or data brokerage integration.
Information the Extension Stores
Focus Pulse stores timer settings, active timer state, optional task text, session history, streak counts, and user preferences such as theme, sound, notifications, and auto-start behavior. This information is stored using Chrome extension storage on your device.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information. Focus Pulse does not send your timer data, task names, session history, browsing history, page content, identity, location, or device identifiers to any external server.
Chrome Permissions
- storage: Saves your local timer settings, active timer, session history, and preferences.
- alarms: Keeps timer completion reliable when the popup is closed.
- notifications: Shows local Chrome notifications when a focus or break timer completes.
Data Sharing
Focus Pulse does not share data with third parties. Exported session data is created only when you select the export button, and the exported file remains under your control.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data remains in Chrome storage until you clear it inside Focus Pulse, remove the extension, or clear extension data through Chrome. The Clear All Data button deletes session history, streaks, preferences, and the active timer state.
Children's Privacy
Focus Pulse is a general productivity tool and does not knowingly collect information from children or any other users.
