Privacy Policy for Competitor Snapshot

Competitor Snapshot is a Chrome extension for creating structured competitor analysis notes. The extension is designed to work locally in your browser and does not require an account, external server, or analytics service.
Information the Extension Stores
The extension stores the snapshots you create, including competitor names, handles or URLs, platforms, niches, follower estimates, content pillars, tactics, SWOT entries, content gaps, notes, and extension theme preference.
Where Data Is Stored
Your snapshots are stored using Chrome extension storage on your device. Competitor Snapshot does not transmit this data to the developer or to any third-party service.
Permissions
The extension requests the storage permission so it can save your snapshots and settings between browser sessions. It does not request host permissions, browsing history, tabs, cookies, identity, or network access.
Data Sharing
Competitor Snapshot does not sell, rent, share, or transfer your data. Exported JSON, CSV, or Markdown files are created only when you click an export button. You control where those exported files go after download.
Remote Code and Analytics
The extension does not load remote code, tracking scripts, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or external fonts. All application files are bundled inside the extension package.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual snapshots inside the extension. You can delete all stored extension data by removing the extension from Chrome or clearing extension site data through Chrome settings.
Children's Privacy
Competitor Snapshot is intended for business, creator, and marketing research workflows. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If the extension changes in a way that affects data collection, storage, permissions, or sharing, this policy will be updated before publication of that version.
