Privacy Policy for Community Poll Dashboard
Effective date: June 1, 2026
Community Poll Dashboard is a local-first Chrome extension for creating and managing polls in your browser. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.
Information the Extension Handles
The extension stores poll questions, answer options, vote counts, active or closed status, multiple-choice settings, and theme preference locally in your browser using extension page storage. If you import a JSON file, the extension reads that file only so it can add the polls you selected.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal information. The extension does not use analytics, advertising trackers, remote databases, or external servers.
Data Storage and Control
Your poll data remains on your device unless you choose to export it, copy a poll as JSON, or share an extension page link. Exported files and copied content are controlled by you. Removing the extension or clearing browser site data may delete locally stored polls.
Chrome Permissions
The extension does not request special Chrome permissions. It runs as a popup and options page and uses standard browser features for local storage, file import, file export, and clipboard copy when you request those actions.
Children's Privacy
The extension is a productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. Because no data is collected by us, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If the extension changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy should be updated before publishing the new version.
