CommandDeck Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 31, 2026
CommandDeck is a Chrome extension that provides a local, searchable CLI command reference with 300+ packaged command examples.
Data Collection
CommandDeck does not collect, sell, transmit, or share personal information.
The extension stores command data locally in Chrome storage so the command library, import/export tools, and usage counters can work. This local data may include:
- The packaged command database.
- Commands imported by the user.
- Local usage counts and last-used timestamps.
- The local install timestamp used for the settings page.
This data stays on the user's device unless the user manually exports it.
Clipboard Access
CommandDeck uses clipboard access only when the user clicks a command copy action. The extension writes the selected command text to the clipboard. It does not read clipboard contents.
Context Menu Search
CommandDeck adds a right-click search option for selected text. Selected text is used only to open a local CommandDeck search page.
Remote Services
CommandDeck does not use remote code, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or external APIs.
Data Sharing
CommandDeck does not sell, rent, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
